»Voices of the People«

One of Germany’s oldest orchestras, the Staatskapelle Weimar, looks forward to performing with the young, European acclaimed a-cappella group MAYBEBOP. In this concert, one of the primal forms of human expression, popular folk music, will make its triumphant return to the large concert hall. Here the interaction between the musicians of the orchestra and a-cappella singers forms the highlight of the concert. The international songs will be transported to modern times and arranged in a contemporary/old-fashioned form for a young audience. Anyone who wants to sing along is certainly welcome to! The mix of songs invites the audience in the Bauhaus commemorative year on a journey to the past and future.
