Hugo Wolf: Italienisches Liederbuch

In the 2021/2022 season, the members of our music theater ensemble will once again present their "favorite songs" and thus show a different facet of their musical skills away from the grand opera stage. The program of each evening is chosen by the performers themselves; it is always dedicated to a thematic or musical focus. The first event in the intimate ambience of the foyer will focus on Hugo Wolf's "Italian Songbook," with settings of popular Italian love poems placed in contextual relationships to other texts.
