In sometimes lyrically tender, sometimes brightly jubilant soprano arias of the Baroque period, it is not uncommon to find a trumpet at the singer's side, with the instrument crowning the vocal part, so to speak. In terms of content, the trumpet sometimes reinforces, sometimes comments - and of course the themes of nature and love in all their endless facets take center stage. The concert will feature works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Alessandro Melani, Giuseppe Torelli and other baroque masters.
