ISMAEL IVO. I BELIEVE IN THE BODY.

He has left deep traces in Weimar as a dancer and choreographer: Ismael Ivo. Johannes Odenthal has now published an illustrated book about this exceptional artist, who with his "unique physical possibilities became a very, very important voice" of the time. Ivo, Odenthal says, never tried to draw any boundaries - not on a cultural or gender issue, nor on issues of homosexuality or skin color. "He was someone who always tried to continue an artistic work from a humanistic aspect." This evening will commemorate the artist's work. Guests will be the editor Johannes Odentahl and Riccarda Herre, one of Ismael Ivo's artistic collaborators.
