Dear friends of music theatre, concert and theatre pedagogy, dear children, adolescents, dear educators,

welcome to our new season. With this year's program of the boy DNT we invite you to get to know us, to discuss with us and to play along. Whether in workshops, game projects, discussion rounds such as "Let's talk" or at a performance including a follow-up discussion with experts and artists over a drink: we are looking forward to the encounters and joint actions. During this season, we will deal with the theme of "New Man" in various productions and events. We want to know: What do you mean by that? Do we even want to be that: "New People"? These and other questions will be dealt with in a variety of projects, such as the "Week of Democracy" or the international youth exchange project "Post-Europe", in which young people from Poland, France and Germany will deal with the future of Europe.

In addition to many drama, music theatre and concert events, we offer various accompanying activities in the form of workshops, follow-up discussions, premiere classes and in-depth discussions. At the beginning of the semester, students and trainees have the opportunity to look over our shoulder while working in the theatre and experience how a stage manager, dramaturge or stage designer works here. The DNT is intended to be a place where one can be inspired, enter into conversation and be inspired to think about oneself and one's surroundings - in a practical and creative way. That's what we hope for and look forward to your visit and the joint projects!

We cordially invite all teachers and student representatives to a special programme presentation on 04 September 2018 at 16.00 hrs:
Together with the stellwerk - junges Theater Weimar, we will present our play plans especially for pedagogues, multipliers as well as school and class representatives in a compact course with artistic contributions and inform about upcoming theatre pedagogical offers. The parcours lasts from 16.00 - 18.00 and at 19.30 you have the possibility to visit the rehearsal of the new play "Restleben". This event is recognized by the THILLM as an advanced training.
